Wayne Hammond

I first set foot in Africa in 1999. Within 24 hours of landing at Kenya’s Mombasa Airport I realised that I never wanted to travel anywhere other than Africa. I’ve now travelled to the continent over 30 times and rarely a day goes by without me thinking about Africa, planning my next trip there or reflecting on the last. You might say I am hopelessly addicted to the place.
My trips have taken me to Kenya (far too many times to remember), Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Rwanda, South Africa and Mozambique. More than anything, I love being in the bush, with a great guide, my camera, and the African sun on my back. My favourite bush haunts include Kenya’s Maasai Mara, Mana Pools in Zimbabwe, and South Luangwa national park in Zambia.
